Step 1: Test your Network Security

Go to http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm. In the area marked “Download area using the standard protocol http”, click on the first file called eicar.com.

If you get the same message as above, the virus test file has passed your firewall and is on your desktop. This shows a deficiency in your existing network security protocols.
